CALIFORNIA THREE STRIKES LAW AMENDED!
Thanks to all who voted Yes on Prop 36
The Youthful Offender Resource Network (YORN) is a
project of Pacific Youth Correctional Ministries (PYCM)
and ministry of Chaplain Charlie Corum. Charlie is an
ordained Baptist minister providing services and ministries to
the Los Angeles County Department of Probation
(LACDP), California Department of Corrections and
Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Los
Angeles County Department of Children and Family
Services (DCFS) and local Community Youth Programs.
Charlie was born in Los Angeles in 1951 and trusted Jesus
Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in 1975. He founded
and was pastor of Olive Branch Outreach in Rosemead for
17 years before transitioning into youth correctional ministry
and denominational work as a Community Ministry Field
Specialist with the Los Angeles Southern Baptist
Association (LASBA). In 2006, Charlie started YORN to
offer opportunties for churches, ministries, organizations,
businesses and individuals to partner together to provide
services and ministries to incarcerated and at risk youth.
On August 13, Charlie began a Visual Bible Study to launch the
South El Monte Community Outreach (SEMCO), a community
focused church in his childhood home town of South El Monte.
